A deal is a promotion with a start date and end date. Active deals are visible on your location page, and the number of active deals shows as a count on your dispensary card on the homepage. Deals are location-level content.
Why Deals Matter
Deals drive traffic. When a customer is browsing the homepage, a dispensary card showing "3 Deals" with a tag icon gets more clicks than one with zero. Active deals appear on your location's Deals tab in a social-feed layout, and each deal has its own shareable link with a social preview — useful for sharing on other platforms.
What Happens When You Create a Deal
- The deal appears on your location's Deals tab
- Your homepage dispensary card updates its active deal count
- If you toggle "Email Followers," every follower of that location receives an email notification
- When the deal expires, it remains visible but dimmed and marked as "Expired" so customers can see your promotion history
Deal Types
- Percentage off — e.g., 20% off all edibles
- Dollar amount off — e.g., $5 off any concentrate
Deals and Orders
Deals are not automatically applied to orders. Since FourTwenty is a reservation system (not a payment processor), discounts are applied in person at fulfillment. Customers are told this at checkout: "Discounts and deals will be applied in-person at checkout."
