Orders & Fulfillment

How Orders Work

FourTwenty uses an order request model. Understand the full flow from submission to fulfillment.

FourTwenty uses an order request model, not a payment processing model. When a customer checks out, they're submitting a reservation request at a specific location — not completing a purchase. No payment is processed through the platform. Orders are location-level — each order belongs to the location where the customer is shopping.

The Order Flow

  1. Customer browses your location's menu and adds items to cart
  2. Customer provides their information at checkout (name, phone, DOB, state ID)
  3. For medical locations: additional medical card credentials
  4. For delivery: delivery address (validated against your radius)
  5. Order is submitted as Pending
  6. You receive an email alert and see it on your dashboard
  7. You review and move to Reserved
  8. Customer is notified their items are being held
  9. You fulfill and mark Complete

Important

FourTwenty does not process payments. All payments happen directly between you and the customer at fulfillment. Customers are clearly told this at checkout.
