FourTwenty uses an order request model, not a payment processing model. When a customer checks out, they're submitting a reservation request at a specific location — not completing a purchase. No payment is processed through the platform. Orders are location-level — each order belongs to the location where the customer is shopping.
The Order Flow
- Customer browses your location's menu and adds items to cart
- Customer provides their information at checkout (name, phone, DOB, state ID)
- For medical locations: additional medical card credentials
- For delivery: delivery address (validated against your radius)
- Order is submitted as Pending
- You receive an email alert and see it on your dashboard
- You review and move to Reserved
- Customer is notified their items are being held
- You fulfill and mark Complete
Important
FourTwenty does not process payments. All payments happen directly between you and the customer at fulfillment. Customers are clearly told this at checkout.
